Article 5 (Period of Effect / Expiration)
The basic course period for each course in the Japanese program at this academy shall be one cycle from April 1st to March 31st of the following year.
2. The academic year shall be divided into four quarters, with the opening and closing dates as follows.
1st Semester... April - June (200 credit hours)
2nd semester... July - September (200 credit hours)
3rd Term... October - December (200 credits)
4th Semester... January - March (200 credit hours)
Article 6 (Holidays)
The institute will be closed on the following days.

(3) Holidays stipulated by the Law for National Holidays
(4) Spring Break: March 24 - April 5
(5) Summer break: June 20 - July 5
August 8 - August 16
(6) Fall break: September 26 - October 5
(7) Winter Closing Period: December 21 - January 5
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, classes may be held on days off if the Dean recognizes that there are educational circumstances that are necessary and unavoidable.
3. In the event of a disaster or other urgent circumstances that the Dean deems necessary, classes may be suspended temporarily.
Article 7 (Class Start and End Times)
The class start and end times shall be as follows.
Common to all courses
Morning Session: 09:00 - 12:15
Afternoon session: 1:00 PM - 4:15 PM

Article 8 (Curriculum)
The curriculum and class hours for each course at this university are as follows.

Article 9 (Evaluation of Learning)
Evaluation of learning will be determined by a comprehensive assessment of examination results, attendance, and classroom conduct, and will be graded on a four-point scale.
2. If attendance is affected by absence due to illness or other unavoidable reasons, evaluations may be supplemented through make-up sessions or other means.
3. Unavoidable reasons refer to the following cases:
(1) If infected with a contagious disease (period of suspension from attendance required by a doctor's diagnosis)
(2) When it is recognized that commuting is extremely difficult due to disasters, etc.
(3) When attending relatives' ceremonies and funerals
(4) If entry into Japan is delayed due to reasons not attributable to the person concerned.
(5) In cases where humanitarian consideration is generally recognized as necessary, such as for religious reasons.
(6) In addition, when the Academy Director acknowledges that there are unavoidable circumstances.
Article 10 (Faculty and Staff Organizations)
The following faculty and staff shall be appointed to this college.
(1) Dean (Principal)
(2) Director, 1
(3) Faculty: 44 or more (including at least 22 full-time faculty)
(4) 2 or more clerical staff
2. In addition to the preceding paragraph, necessary staff may be appointed.
The president supervises school affairs and oversees affiliated faculty members.
Chapter 4: Enrollment, Leave of Absence, Withdrawal, Graduation, and Awards/Penalties
Article 11 (Eligibility for Admission)
Admission to this academy is granted to those who meet any of the following requirements.
(1) Those who have completed 12 years or more of schooling in their home country.
(2) Those who are 18 years of age or older.
Persons who can enter Japan through legitimate procedures.
(4) Those who have a reliable guarantor.
(5) Persons who can afford to pay admission fees, tuition fees, and other living expenses while residing in Japan.
(6) Those who have clear goals for the future and are enthusiastic about learning languages.
Article 12 (Enrollment Period)
The admission periods for this academy are three times a year, specifically in April, July, and October.
Article 13 (Enrollment Procedures)
The admission procedure for this academy shall be as follows.
(1) Any person seeking admission to this academy shall complete the application form and other necessary documents prescribed by this university, submit them with the entrance examination fee stipulated in Article 20 by the designated deadline.
(2) An examination will be conducted for those who have completed the procedures in the preceding paragraph, and successful applicants will be selected.
(3) Those admitted to this college must complete the enrollment procedures by paying the enrollment fee stipulated in Article 20 and submitting the required documents.
Article 14 (Leave of Absence and Return to School)
When a student intends to take a leave of absence for seven days or more due to illness or other unavoidable circumstances, they must submit an application for leave of absence, stating the reasons and the period of absence, along with a medical certificate or other necessary documents, and obtain the principal's permission.
2. If a student who has taken a leave of absence wishes to return to their studies, they may do so by notifying the Dean and obtaining their permission.
Article 15 (Admission of Transfer Students)
If there is a student wishing to transfer to our school from another Japanese language educational institution, after obtaining a transfer acceptance from the previous institution, the student may be admitted to a class that is not at full capacity for the respective course, taking into consideration the student's course and academic progress at the previous institution.
2. Admission by transfer is accepted at any time.
3. Applicants for transfer admission shall follow the transfer admission procedures as stipulated in Article 13, concerning admission procedures.
The payment amount shall be the amount prescribed in Article 20. However, tuition fees at the time of enrollment for transfer students shall be a pro-rata amount calculated for one term based on the months from the month of transfer to the start date of the next term.
Regarding teaching materials, we will consider those used at the previous institution and purchase the remaining items.
Article 16 (Withdrawal from School)
A person intending to withdraw from school must submit a withdrawal application form stating the reason to the dean and obtain permission.
Article 17 (Certification of Completion/Graduation)
The Director shall evaluate the learning for each subject specified in the curriculum in accordance with Article 9, and shall certify the completion of the subject for those who have received a certain evaluation.
The Dean shall award a diploma to those who have completed the prescribed curriculum of this academy.
Article 18 (Awards)
The dean may award prizes to students who have excellent academic performance and serve as role models for other students.
Article 19 (Disciplinary Actions)
If a student violates these school rules or other regulations established by the Academy, or engages in conduct unbecoming of an Academy student, the Academy Director may take disciplinary action against the student.
2. Disciplinary actions shall be of three types: reprimand, suspension, and expulsion.
3. Students falling under any of the following categories shall be subject to disciplinary warning, and those who, despite repeated guidance, show no improvement shall be expelled or removed from the student roll.
A person recognized as having incorrigible misconduct and no prospect for improvement.
(2) Those who are deemed academically inferior and unlikely to succeed in their chosen profession.
(3) Those who are absent without a justifiable reason
(4) Those who disrupt classroom order and disturb academy life.
Chapter 5: Student Fees
Article 20 (Student Fees)
The student fees for this academy are as follows.

2. Expenses incurred for taking various other examinations and obtaining qualifications shall, as a general rule, be borne by the applicant personally.
Article 21 (Delivery)
Students must pay tuition fees by the designated deadline for the period of enrollment, regardless of attendance.
When a student takes a leave of absence, tuition fees equivalent to the period of absence may be exempted, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
3. With the approval of the Chairman of the Board and the Dean, tuition fees may be partially or fully waived for special reasons.
Article 22 (Delinquency)
If a student fails to pay tuition fees without a valid reason and without following the prescribed procedures, and there is no prospect of payment thereafter, the Dean may take necessary measures, such as expulsion.
Article 23 (Refund of Contributions)
Payments submitted will not be refunded in principle.
However, students who have paid a full year's tuition in advance will be refunded tuition for the latter half of the year only if they withdraw within six months after enrollment.
2. If admission is declined before enrollment, all payments except for the examination fee (selection fee) and admission fee will be refunded.
Chapter 6 Miscellaneous Provisions
Article 24 (Health Checkups)
Health check-ups are conducted once a year for all students.
Article 25 (Detailed Provisions)
The Director of the Institute shall separately stipulate necessary matters concerning the enforcement of these regulations.

These regulations shall come into effect on April 1, 2015.
